Mission and Ministry Plan

Purpose

The Institute exists to study and communicate the life and Scriptures of the early church.

Implementation Objectives

• Research in the beginnings of the church

• Publishing in refereed journals and scholarly publications

• Preparing ministers and other church leaders

• Cultivating relationships with other scholars, researchers, and institutions

• Teaching teachers

• Maintaining formal relations with other organizations

• Establish Institutes in additional cultures

Three Year Plan

• Identify and support projects of research associates and scholars which are appropriate to EES goals

• Increase publications of scholars and proceedings from national meetings

• Expand Institute Library in accordance with Mission

• Secure asking list for library gifts

• Expand Institute personnel

• Increase scholars and their activities

• Increase professional staf

• Maintain formal relations with the theological faculty

Annual Plan

• Add volumes and journals to the library

• Produce publications

• Attend professional meetings

• Organize Colloquium and Vespers

• Develop theological languages instruction to enhance the abilities of international students to be more productive in their studies.
